Sunday saw West Park teams contesting two of the three age grade Lancashire cup finals being played at Vale of Lune. West Park u14s played Tyldsley and West Park u15s facing Preston Grasshoppers. The u14s came back from a half time deficit of of 7-15 to blitz Tyldsley in the second half to run out winners 54-22 in a show of pace and power. The u15s were unfortunately unable to repeat the same feat in the next match going down to a strong Preston team in a close fought contest until Preston pulled away with a flurry of tries in the closing stages as West Park chased the game
