West Park Girls Under 15’s v Ellesmere Port Girls Under 15’s
The Green and Golds arrived at a sunny Whitby Sports club and from the singing in the changing room (xmas songs) they seemed full of energy. After the usual Laboured warm up the game got underway against a well drilled Ellesmere port team.
The format was 12 a side playing 4 x 10 mins games. The green and golds once again had good numbers (16) which allowed us to rotate the team and give players the chance to play in positions they don’t normally play. The Girl’s turned in a good all-round performance with everybody contributing to a fine away win.
Special mention must go to Isobel and Grace who have been a welcome addition to the team and are settling in well.
Try of the match must go to Lara who found herself with the ball deep in her own half and then proceeded to rumble up the pitch to score (not bad for a second row forward).

Once again the green and gold supporters club were in fine voice even through some were suffering from hangovers! From a coaching point of view it is good to see how quickly the girls are developing and bonding as a Team. Away next week at Leigh in the Area Five Cup kick off at 12.
