New season underway

The first weekend of the season all done and dusted!

The 1XV played in the Lancashire Cup on Saturday away at Aldwinians, not the ADM Lancashire League as reported. Despite a strong start and a lead into the second half, it was not to be their day, the final score 18-10.

The 2XV triumphed away at Preston Grasshoppers, and the newly formed 3XV got off to a great start at home against Southport 3XV.

Sunday morning saw the return to training for our mini section and junior boys teams who all eagerly await their first games, starting for some on Sunday.

A warm but overcast Sunday afternoon saw the Junior Colts launch their season at home, hosting Bolton Junior Colts. A fantastic display of Colts rugby on show with evenly matched sides and a well played game. The final score 34-15 in our favour with some outstanding play in the last 10/15 minutes
