ark made light of the terrible weather conditions to put on a sparkling display of
flowing rugby, crossing for a total of 11 tries , six of which being converted by
winger Jack Holland, who added a try of his own for good measure.
Speedy and elusive winger Ryan Littler scored two tries , his overall contribution to
the game being first class , and a deft kick inside to flanker Paddy Loughnane
provided a valuable try assist, added to later after his 40 metre run assisting 2nd row
forward Lewis Harris also to score .
Hooker Tom Williams was once again in the thick of the action throughout , and as
a testimony to his fitness and enthusiasm was on hand to cross for a hat trick of tries
himself. Front row colleague Ollie Berry was also prominent , particularly in attack,
and scored a delightful try after neat inter-passing between himself and fellow prop
Martin Kimberley.
An outstanding break by flanker Lewis Whitty saw him outstrip he visitor’s defence to
score a good try, and after a neat inside pass from centre Dominic Basley to second row
Matt Cozens, the ever supporting full back John Pape crossed for a memorable try.
This was a comprehensive win as the score suggests and testimony to excellent teamwork,
the result being particularly pleasing given the poor conditions, and well managed throughout
by the “frozen” man in the middle with the whistle.
West Park’s next game is scheduled for January 5th 2019 when they travel to Aldwinians for
what should be expected to be a far more testing contest.
